Hooray New Baby Review

Hooray New Baby!
A Keepsake Book for Our Precious, Real-Life Baby
Hooray New Baby!

The first 12 months of a baby's life are precious and life-affirming—if you manage to remember them through the sleep deprivation, anxiety, and hours of advice everyone you've ever met wants to give you. Thankfully, Hooray New Baby! is here to help you record the true story of your baby's important first year, so memories are never fuzzy.

This baby book, written and designed by illustrator Veronica Dearly, is filled with prompts and exercises that encourage you to write the story of your new baby.

How few hours of sleep did you get the first week after your baby came home? Was your baby's first Christmas a wrapping paper and sugar high–filled delight, or a toppled-over-tree and broken-ornament nightmare? This baby book goes from being an exercise in maintaining your sanity to a sentimental keepsake of frank, sweet observations about that special first year of your baby's life as you fill its pages.

As functional as it is hilarious, Hooray New Baby! is a wonderful way to remember year one of parenthood, so you don't lose it along with your mind.

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review-  While I did not have much time to record my kids events the first year I do know many parents that make a good effort to keep memories and scrapbooks.  The book is a more modern take with fun ways to add in notes like the first time your baby threw up down someone's back.

Home takes children on a journey using their own eyes to visit many different places to live while providing a touching story about the importance of family over all else. It is the story about a young boy from a small apartment in a big city who dreams about other types of homes. The boy goes out on a colorful adventure to visit many different homes – from a large house in the suburbs to an igloo to a farmhouse – and meets families wherever he goes. The boy enjoys visiting each residence, but at the conclusion of his trip, he comes to a realization...

This is a story about the importance of love and family over all else.

Home was recently featured in the New York Post and is the winner of the 2018 San Francisco Book Festival, Children’s Books.

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review-  A nice story that provides a message most adults have yet to learn.  The author chose wording that would be easy to understand and also creates a way for parents to have a discussion afterwards if wanted, to further discuss the thoughts of your little one.
