At Home is the one-stop-shop to decorate your whole house – from an entire room makeover to smaller refreshes for every season, on any budget.

Did you ever have "fall focus"  on the color changes that take place in your home as the temperatures start to drop ?

I notice that I do it every year, sometimes even earlier than the last one. As soon as a get the slightest chill in the air around the end of August and September, my mind goes right to change up the my home.  I go from cooler colors of summer to warmer fall goodness, that makes me feel comfort and scents that will bring memories for my family to enjoy.

I get super excited to see all of the great finds in the stores as well as the lower prices, but I have yet to shop At Home.

I noticed that At Home provides a full solution for their home, specifically within the indoor décor category, with a massive selection of specialty products for the fall season.  Since I had not been to the store before, I decided to check out the everyday low prices that would allow me decorate on a budget which I was able to do online.

While this Chinese Lantern Wreath is a bit on the pricey side, the 22in, will take up enough wall space to not have to accent much more, or even to hang on an outside door.

Of course it is nice to craft our own fall decorations, but having the added few special store bought ones are a real treat and I hope to be able to get out to one of the At Home stores and see what other finds I can save money on for all of my upcoming holidays!

I received compensation for this sponsored post.

The Space Between Words By Michele Phoenix Review

33027983

"There were seconds, when I woke, when the world felt unshrouded. Then memory returned."

When Jessica regains consciousness in a French hospital on the day after the Paris attacks, all she can think of is fleeing the site of the horror she survived. But Patrick, the steadfast friend who hasn't left her side, urges her to reconsider her decision. Worn down by his insistence, she reluctantly agrees to follow through with the trip they'd planned before the tragedy.

"The pages found you," Patrick whispered.

"Now you need to figure out what they're trying to say."

During a stop at a country flea market, Jessica finds a faded document concealed in an antique. As new friends help her to translate the archaic French, they uncover the story of Adeline Baillard, a young woman who lived centuries before--her faith condemned, her life endangered, her community decimated by the Huguenot persecution.

"I write for our descendants, for those who will not understand the cost of our survival."

Determined to learn the Baillard family's fate, Jessica retraces their flight from France to England, spurred on by a need she doesn't understand.

Could this stranger who lived three hundred years before hold the key to Jessica's survival?

Cassandra's review-  This author dares to delve into a severe mix of emotional writing that will take the reader down a path of adventure with style.  The writing style chosen is easy to follow, but I found that it requires some concentration to keep up  the good reading momentum.  Once I got into the book more I was able to enjoy it more so that I did not want to stop reading.

Cassandra's Review- I must say that booklet is the appropriate term for this tiny and simple book.  It is more like a pamphlet, but does have a good variation of daily devotions that the whole family can participate in reading and learning.  For three dollars it is worth the read.

The Child Safeguarding Policy for Churches and Ministries

Churches have always sought to be a safe haven for children and families, but many today are dealing with the tragic reality of child sexual abuse.

This handbook, authored and edited by a multidisciplinary team of child abuse experts, is designed for use by a group that will be formulating policies and procedures to protect children and deal with possible child abuse in their ministry, school, and/or church. Working through this book will assist churches and ministries to assess their current child abuse policies and then guide them through each step they need to take to address the safety of children under their care. It will cover vitally important topics including:

-Protecting the children in a Christian environment from child abuse
-The warning signs of child abuse
-Crafting and implement a child protection policy
-Responding to abuse allegations
-Caring for victims of child abuse
-The legal implications and requirements for churches and Christian ministries

Written by a GRACE team with multi-disciplinary knowledge, headed by Boz Tchividjian, a lawyer and former child abuse prosecutor, this handbook will be an invaluable resource to Christians who are seeking to educate themselves and others about child abuse and how to best protect the little ones under their care.

Cassandra's review-  I first, feel like it is terrible to even have to have books about this, however the subject is very real and the need to protect our children is high.  Abuse is so common within the ministry system and many are either not prepared or have no idea, so this is a great resource to bring everything to light.
