I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review- The book was tough to get through, especially if you have no super interest or extensive knowledge on the topic.   i found myself drifting off or not being focused because it just seemed like bunced up jargon and facts that were too much for me as a reader.   I actually felt this go over my head and I really did try to understand the whole thing.  I would recommend this book for someone who is very familiar with the topic and can relate or improve themselves from it.

Growing Friendships By Eileen Kennedy-Moore #Review

Growing Friendships

Growing Friendships
A Kid's Guide to Making and Keeping Friends
By Eileen Kennedy-Moore and Christine McLaughlin

From psychologist and children’s friendships expert Eileen Kennedy-Moore and parenting and health writer Christine McLaughlin comes a social development primer that gives kids the answers they need to make and keep friends.

Friendship is complicated for kids. Almost every child struggles socially at some time, in some way. Having an argument with a friend, getting teased, or even trying to find a buddy in a new classroom…although these are typical problems, they can be very painful. And friendships are never about just one thing.

With research-based practical solutions and plenty of true-to-life examples—presented in more than 200 lighthearted cartoons—Growing Friendships is a toolkit for both girls and boys as they make sense of the social order around them.

Children everywhere want to fit in with a group, resist peer pressure, and be good sports—but even the most socially adept children struggle at times. But after reading this highly illustrated guide on their own or with a caring adult, kids everywhere will be well equipped to face any friendship challenges that come their way.

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review-  I think that if you handed a child this book and allowed them at their own pace to read and discover it, they would be able to find a way to make friends and possibly keep them.   I can even see some adults benefiting from really good advice presented.   The little comic sections seemed to be more of a distraction for me personally and made the book a little hard to follow, I would have prefered a straight read.  I can see that maybe a younger child might find them funny or easier to connect with.

Publisher: Race Point Publishing

Stick figures are hotter than ever. The biggest web comics are produced in stick figure format, and they are hugely popular in social media. But the best part about stick figures is that anyone can draw them! Billy Attinger showed how to draw stylized stick figures in his popular Stick Sketch School, and now he's back showing the world his stick figure animals. Take an "artventure" around the world: learn to draw stick animals in the jungle, the Arctic, the rainforest, the Outback, underwater, and more! You'll even learn how to draw extinct animals and fantasy animals in stick form. Each spread features a grid to show the reader how to draw the lines, how to add movement, expression, and more. Ideal for the visual learner and accompanied by tips and tricks from stick artist Billy Attinger, the book shows how to make your stick animals personal, recognizable, and unique!

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review- I have children that love to draw and be creative.  One in particular though will really spend a lot of time learning and creating so this book opened a new way for that to happen.  The ideas are cute and easy to learn.  The instructions are a little complex, but not over complex and most children over a certain age should be able to get started right away.

In vivid color photos, you'll be guided to create slingshot rockets, unique catapults, and even hydraulic-powered machines. Whether you build one or all 19 of these designs, you'll feel like an ingenious engineer when you're through.

Best of all, you don't need to be an experienced tinkerer to make any of the projects within. All you need are household tools and materials, such as paper clips, pencils, paint stirrers, and ice pop sticks.

Oh, and rubber bands. Lots of rubber bands.

So grab your glue gun, pull out your pliers, track down your tape, and get started on the challenging, fun, and rewarding journey toward becoming a rubber band engineer.

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review- The projects are going to be great for adults to put together for the kids.  Unless you have a super skilled teen that can do this by themselves you should plan on being hands on.  I think all of the ways to create in this book are awesome and in the end if you do the work of building, the fun is going to be worth it.

CHAVETTE Knee Compression Sleeves Support #Review

CHAVETTE Knee Compression Sleeves Support ( 1 Pair ) for Sports Activities, Knee Support Braces for Pain Relief and Recovery

Support Kneels: Compression helps to keep the knees very stable. Suitable for all sports activities that involve a great amount of stress on the knee joint, including basketball, football, volleyball, running, fitness, cycling, hiking and etc.

Pain Relief and Protection
Ergonomic design
Double Wave Anti-Slip Silicon

I received complimentary product.

Cassandra's Review-  A good fit and easy to put on. The material is a little uncomfortable if you do not like certain feels.   It does bend with the knee but there is tension and there is not a hard cup for the knee cap, so you can not kneel on harder surfaces, easily.   It does offer compression but that is going to vary depending on the fit for you.
