Batteroo battery life extender Review

About 15 billion batteries end up in landfills each year, creating not just trash but ultimately soil contamination and a laundry list of other environmental impacts.

Consuming fewer batteries is ideal, and to that end, Silicon Valley-based Batteroo has released its eponymous battery life extender, a thin, simple ‘sleeve’ that slips over a battery and draws out its usable power to prolong its life.

Technically speaking, Batteroo is a miniaturized voltage management and delivery system. Stainless steel, less than .1 millimeter thick, these reusable devices can significantly cut the number of batteries we buy, use, and throw away (which makes the battery companies not too happy).

I received complimentary product.

Cassandra's Review-  One of the things my family always has in bulk are batteries, because I get them cheaper at the dollar store and they tend to just blow through the charge.  With the help of these sleeves I hope to be able to save a lot more money and they did not have a problem going into my device.

I was a little leary about using something that might might cause a shortage or fire and you need to have a sleeve for every battery you use in the device as well as watching out not to cut yourself during placement.   The product is going to be an emergency use item in my home during outages etc.

The Ragamuffin Gospel By Brennan Manning Review

“This is a book I wrote for myself and anyone who has grown
weary and discouraged along the Way.”
—Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel[P1]

Many of us believe in grace, yet we live as if we still have to earn God’s love. We picture God hanging His head in disappointment, tallying our successes and failures on a score sheet. We assume we have to do more, or be a different person, for God to be pleased with us.

Brennan Manning shows us a different, truer image of our relationship with God: We come to God as ragamuffins. Bedraggled, dirty, exhausted. But as we sit at God’s feet, He smiles upon us. He embraces us. He treats us not as failures but as the chosen objects of His love.

In this twenty-fifth anniversary edition of Manning’s classic meditation on grace, Manning reminds us that we don’t need to apply spiritual cosmetics to make ourselves presentable to God. We can recognize our poverty and powerlessness as what bring us closer to a God whose love embraces us no matter what.

The Bible tells us that by grace we are saved. So why does our spirituality often start with ourselves, not with God? Why are we likely to believe in grace in theory but deny it in practice?

In The Ragamuffin Gospel, Brennan Manning explores the true meaning of the word grace in all its power. When we beat ourselves up over who we are or what we’ve done, we pull away from God. When we acknowledge that it is only grace that can save us, we draw near to a God who delights in who He created us to be.

The Ragamuffin Gospel has changed thousands of lives since it was first published twenty-five years ago. In this anniversary edition, we find the timeless wisdom of a man who came to God needy and desperate again and again and found a peace that defined his life, his relationships, and his career.

You are not a disappointment to God. God does not “put up” with you. He celebrates you. God not only loves you, He likes you.. This is the joy of the gospel.

Cassandra's Review-  Walking with God is easier for some than others, but the author brings a special light out in the reader and will help them to embrace life in light.  To be able to connect and go even beyond what you thought you could reach is a gift that this author gives and a blessing for anyone who takes the time to fill their heart with the written words.   This is about God and so much more, but will appeal more so for faith based lovers of the topics.

Cassandra's Review- I think this book is better for middle grade kids or children that really understand deeper reading.  I know it is made for kids, but some might not really know how to grasp the devotionals.  Of course you could read and discuss this with any child so that they can be blessed with you and at the same time you might learn as well.  This is a very faith based book.

Tales Of Men And Women Edition 7 By Stone Riley Review

Tales Of Men And Women Edition 7 Paperback

Magnum Opus: 500 pages of illuminating and inspiring poetry, prose and pictures by a life-long activist: We can awake; we can rejoice amid life's pain and darkness, and treasure light. We can learn and teach. We can build foundations for the Good New Age; it is now as though the hallways of Lascaux stand empty waiting for your brush. But how to even start? How can you live a good human life? Now when we must rebuild society on wiser passions, that is the urgent question. So here is a life's work book about our ancient human race in the world today, by a solemn worshiper of Goddess Earth; collected, enlarged and reissued constantly since 1992.

Author Bio:

Stone Riley has been an activist artist since thirty days in U.S. Army jail during Vietnam, a month from which he gained some pictures and poems. Cassandra's Review-  The book was a little weird for me.  I guess if you are into the topics and feel the authors touch in the writing style, then it would be a bit of a better experience.    It is almost like a collage of knowledge and learnings mashed into forms of stories.

n the long-awaited sequel to Fablehaven, the dragons who have been kept at the dragon sanctuaries no longer consider them safe havens, but prisons, and they want their freedom. The dragons are no longer our allies….

In the hidden dragon sanctuary of Wyrmroost, Celebrant the Just, King of the Dragons, plots his revenge.
