Cassandra's Review-  The trick to making this palatable is what you decide to mix it into.  I tried it with milk and that is probably the worst way to taste it.  The actual taste plain is like  sour, but not pucker your mouth.   I tried this with orange juice and it was little better but the powder is super strong so it is very hard to mask the taste of it.  You really have to be open minded and realize how good it is for you and then drink it fast and deal with the rather pungent aftertaste for a while.  As everyone has a different taste preference if you like to try new things, this will fit the bill.

Jorie and the Magic Stones By A. H. Richardson Review

When Marjorie went to live with her frosty maiden aunt, she couldn't imagine the adventures she would have with dragons - good and bad - and all the strange creatures that live in a mysterious land beneath the Tarn. The spunky 9-year-old redhead forges an unlikely friendship with an insecure young boy named Rufus who lives with his crusty grandfather next door. When Jorie - for that is what she prefers to be called - finds a dusty ancient book about dragons, she learns four strange words that will send the two of them into a mysterious land beneath the Tarn, riddled with enchantment and danger. Hungry for adventure, the children take the plunge, quite literally, and find themselves in the magic land of Cabrynthius.

Upon meeting the good dragon, the Great Grootmonya, Jorie and Rufus are given a quest to find the three Stones of Maalog - stones of enormous power - and return them to their rightful place in Cabrynthius. Their mission is neither easy nor safe, and is peppered with perils in the form of the evil black half-dragon who rules the shadowy side of the land. They have to deal with a wicked and greedy professor, the tragic daughter of the bad dragon, caves of fire, rocky mountainous climbs, and a deadly poisonous butterfly.

Jorie must rely on her wits and courage to win the day? Can she do this? Can she find all three Stones? Can she save Rufus when disaster befalls him? Can she emerge victorious? She and Rufus have some hair-raising challenges, in which they learn valuable lessons about loyalty, bravery, and friendship.

Mercy Brennan followed in her father's footsteps in a law enforcement career, but she has no interest in any other connection to him. A U.S. Marshal in St. Louis, Missouri, she's assigned to a joint task force with the St. Louis PD that puts her back into contact with her father and in the sights of St. Louis's most powerful gang.

Initially unaware of the danger she's in and uncomfortable working with Mark, Mercy's frustration escalates when she discovers the extent her boss and Mark have been keeping her in the dark. Cassandra's Review- Mystery, and suspense with Christian tones.  Fast paced reading because it is so good you will want to keep going.  An ending that makes you want more, but at the same time happy it's done.   The level of suspense is medium so you really have to keep reading to build it up more and more.

ClutterFree Revolution by Evan Michael Zislis Review

NEW EXPANDED EDITION! More than just a book about tidying up, this is a tough-love pep talk for American families. It is the quintessential pocket guide for clearing out, getting organized, and thriving with less stuff and more life. In the pages of ClutterFree Revolution, we meet Hope, a forty-something mom who fantasizes about living a more intentional life with less clutter (both literal and figurative). Through her inspiring transformation, we discover how a simple three-step process has the power to shift our paradigm around our things, and deliver a more rewarding life with far-reaching impacts beyond our own homes and families.

ClutterFree Revolution is not just another how-to-organize book, it is a conscious consumer's manifesto - an invitation to a life-transforming paradigm designed to remind us what matters most, and that is: who we love, what we do, how, and why we live - because everything else is just stuff.

ClutterFree Revolution delivers the simple strategies to simplify your stuff, organize your life & (yes) save the world. "ClutterFree Revolution does more than demystify the complexity of our stuff - it guides us through an honest conversation about what matters most." -- Dr. Melva Green, psychiatrist on the hit TV series, Hoarders (NEW foreword) "ClutterFree Revolution nails it! Evan inspires a new generation of conscious consumers. A must read for every household in America." -- Casey Sheahan, former President & CEO of Patagonia, Inc.

Cassandra's review- If you are a hoarder this is going to be a nightmare because it will actually help you to get rid of things.  The author has found a very adult way for you to get going on that never ending project called clutter freeing.  If you have problems with deciding and distributing your life's collections, this will help. You can also use it to teach children how to declutter, however there is some stronger language that you may want to skim out when telling the younger kids.

Listen, Love, Repeat By Karen Ehman Review

9780310339670, Listen, Love, Repeat : Other-Centered Living in a Self-Centered World, Karen Ehman

Listen, Love, Repeat
Other-Centered Living In A Self-Centered World
By Karen Ehman

Our culture is self-obsessed – in our schedules, relationships, and especially online. (Can you say selfie?) But in this near-narcissism, people are less content than in decades past. Why? Because we forgot the joy that comes from putting others first. Doing so requires us to live alert, listening for “heart drops,” hints from those in our lives who need a helping hand or a generous dose of encouragement. Living alert lifts our own spirits, showing us that blessing others blesses us even more.

Listen, Love, Repeat offers biblical teaching and suggests doable actions that are simple, heart-tugging, sentimental, even sneaky and hilarious. This message:

• Presents scriptural examples of those who lived alert, including Jesus, who noticed those who least expected to be seen.

• Explains the role of good works for followers of Christ. They aren’t our ticket to heaven but they are our marching orders on earth.

• Gives creative ideas for showing love to friends and family, and suggests practical ways to reach out to the lonely, the marginalized, the outcast, and the odd duck. Additionally, it helps you comfort the grieving, showing what you can do when you don’t know what to say.

• Provides inspiration for blessing the “necessary people” in your life, those often-overlooked souls who help you get life done every day, and teaches you how to hug a porcupine by genuinely loving the hard-to-love.

As we scatter love, we create a safe space where we can openly share the gospel. We get to see lives changed right before our eyes. Most importantly, Listen, Love, Repeat will enable you to live a life that is full of kind deeds, not to selfishly shout, “Hey! Look at me!” but to humbly implore, “Will you look at Him?”

A Portrait of Emily Price By Katherine Reay Review

Art restorer Emily Price has never encountered anything she can’t fix—until she meets Ben, an Italian chef, who seems just right. But when Emily follows Ben home to Italy, she learns that his family is another matter . .

Emily Price—fix-it girl extraordinaire and would-be artist—dreams of having a gallery show of her own. There is no time for distractions, especially not the ultimate distraction of falling in love.

But Chef Benito Vassallo’s relentless pursuit proves hard to resist. Visiting from Italy, Ben works to breathe new life into his aunt and uncle’s faded restaurant, Piccollo. Soon after their first meeting, he works to win Emily as well—inviting her into his world and into his heart.

Emily astonishes everyone when she accepts Ben’s proposal and follows him home. But instead of allowing the land, culture, and people of Monterello to transform her, Emily interferes with everyone and everything around her, alienating Ben’s tightly knit family. Only Ben’s father, Lucio, gives Emily the understanding she needs to lay down her guard. Soon, Emily’s life and art begin to blossom, and Italy’s beauty and rhythm take hold of her spirit.

Yet when she unearths long-buried family secrets, Emily wonders if she really fits into Ben’s world. Will the joys of Italy become just a memory, or will Emily share in the freedom and grace that her life with Ben has shown her are possible?

Cassandra's Review- It is a bunch of random, unorganized idioms.   I had a hard time wanting to read this book all the way and often skimmed the paragraphs until I found the purpose of the idiom.  Sadly my kids got bored and wanted me to speed it up.    I personally found it to me low on the attention and entertainment scale.  It could not end fast enough.
