Good and Simple: Recipes to Eat Well and Thrive by Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley Review

Discover how simple and delicious eating well can be.

Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley are revolutionizing how we eat. Experts on wholesome, nutritious cooking and living a healthy, fashionable lifestyle, the sisters teach people how to enjoy real food to feel happier and more energized. Their simple philosophy of eliminating gluten, grains, and refined sugars, while focusing on maximizing nutrition has revolutionized the way people think of “diet.” And, the best part is, preparing such meals is easy and fun.

Good + Simple has 140 beautiful recipes that are so tasty you’ll forget that they’re designed with nourishment in mind. Dishes such as Roasted Squash Soup with Coriander Pesto, Green Goddess Noodle Salad, Cauliflower Rice 3 Ways, Roasted Chicken Thighs with Watercress Salsa Verde, Shrimp and Arugula with Zucchini Noodles, and Cannellini Vanilla Sponge Cake with Chocolate Avocado Frosting are packed with healthful, whole ingredients and taste wonderful. Also included is lots of helpful information from the sisters on making first steps and maintaining a healthy lifestyle; you’ll find an at-a-glance guide to their principles of eating well, ten recipes to get you started, basic pantry ingredients to have on-hand, their signature bone broth recipe, and much more.

With 140 vibrant photographs, tips on transforming leftovers, stocking your fridge and freezer, meals on the run, advice on mindful eating, and a one-week body reset plan, as well as two weekly meal plans, Good + Simple is the perfect book for any home cook who loves food and wants to eat well every day.

I recevied a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review-  Although I never would have any of the ingredients on hand in my home nor would I be able to afford them, this book is filled with great recipes that are super simple to follow.  I do not like half of them as far as the ingredients because they are just not what my family would eat, however if I was traveling or out where someone was cooking them, I would give at least try them.  If you have a lot of extra cash and access to a high end grocery store, this is going to be a great book.

Spring Cleaning Party #tryazon and #springcleaning

I was able to host a spring cleaning party with the help of complimentary Full Circle cleaning products, here is a little more about them.

How they started

Through their team's collective backgrounds in industrial design, manufacturing and sales, Full Circle develops new ways of making products with a major impact in the cleaning industry. To start, they collaborated with local growers, manufacturers and distributors to refine the process from start to finish. The results are innovative, well designed, responsibly made tools that help keep your home beautiful.

 Philosophy

Full circle is proudly obsessed with detail and is determined to evolve the way everyday products are made. That’s why the four founders teamed up to create the first line of products that are as stylish as they are sensible, reducing unnecessary waste while elevating design. What started as a better way to think about products turned into a new way of creating healthier options that inspire smarter choices. Sustainability is great, design is vital, functionality is essential, and at Full Circle, all three of these aspects are necessary in their product

Cassandra's Review-  Although I was not able to round up a huge amount of guest for my party, I was able to try out the cleaning products and they work really well.  My favorite is the duster because of the ease of use and size of the handle.  It picks up really well and I will be able to use it for a long time as it did not fray or fall apart.  I am so glad to have an easier way to clean  up more around my home.

About the Book

Humiliated after her broken engagement, Claire Montgomery flees her comfortable life in San Francisco for a teaching position in Pine Creek, Washington, a dot of a town nestled in the rugged Cascade Mountains. She’s determined to succeed—for once in her life—only to discover, upon her arrival, that success will have to be won. Thanks to a school board error, two teachers have been hired.

When scandal forces professor Barrett Clarke from his position, he returns to Pine Creek where his uncle, chairman of the school board, sets forth an irresistible offer: teach one year in return for ranchland. For this would-be rancher, nothing is more tempting than resurrecting his childhood dream, and nothing can deter him from earning that land.

Except perhaps Claire Montgomery. Losing the battle for the classroom means losing the ranchland, but winning may mean losing Claire’s heart.
