Falcon Song by Kristin Cross Book Blast Giveaway $100 Amazon Gift Card or $100 in Paypal Cash

Falcon Song Falcon Song by Kristin Cross Kate can handle that Jason Falcon is gorgeous. And she can handle that he is fantastically talented, and competent, and funny, and sweet, and . . . . well, all of the things he is. What she isn’t sure she can handle is that he and his country band have suddenly become wildly famous. Even though she has always known that he near worships her, with millions of girls now throwing themselves at him, Kate is afraid that Jason will find he no longer loves Kate best. Then, when she discovers something completely earth shattering, it only makes her more unsure. Realizing that she can never settle for less than absolute devotion, as she is struggling to find what her place will be in Jason’s new top of the charts world, Kate wonders how you can ever truly know that things will work out. Does True Love Always Lead To Happily Ever After? amazon get it Praise for Falcon Song “So much emotion came through the words of this story. I felt it all—regret, forgiveness, redemption, and a powerful love that wrapped it all together. I had a hard time putting it down. This story really touched me!” DL “I loved this story! Jason is one of my favorite heroes ever. I felt like I was right there with them through it all.” JM add to goodreads Excerpt Kate found Jason asleep on the porch swing again. Her drive had left her drained, without answers and somewhat resigned. As she looked down at him sleeping, still, the only thing she really knew was that she loved him. Loved him dearly. In spite of everything. When it came right down to it, that was what made her happy. She wished there was a way to separate this crushing heartache from the sweet peace she felt when she was with him. Who knows, maybe she could get really good at ignoring the parts of his life she didn’t understand. She sat down on the edge of the swing and touched his beautiful hair. His eyes opened slowly and this time there wasn’t a smile, but there was a sweet, sincere tenderness as he quietly watched her for a few seconds. She stroked his cheek and then ran a finger over his sensuous bottom lip. Even if he wasn’t perfectly trustworthy, he was definitely beautiful. She kissed the tip of her finger and put it back there on his lip and said softly, “Wake up, sleepy head. You’re gonna get a million ‘squito bites out here.” He sat up and reached out to touch her cheek. “I’ll live. How was Texas?” She sat down beside him. “Still big.” He smiled sadly, “I told Cody you’d driven to Texas to talk to God. He said he didn’t even realize God lived there. He’s decided that’s why Texans are egotistical.” She laughed. “That’s exactly what I needed just now. Laughing feels good. I thought I didn’t get to see you until tomorrow? What brings you tonight?” He groaned and made a sound of disgust. “Ah, I Googled myself. It was awful.” She pushed the porch swing with her foot. “I know.” “I’m not really as bad as it looks. I swear.” “I know.”   Kristin CrossAuthor Kristin Cross Kristin Cross was a mostly obedient child—unless her mom wanted her to put her book down. She grew up in the Rockies and traveled with her family enough to want to travel more and have adventures in all those exotic looking places on the map that she hasn’t been to—yet. Motherhood has been her best time yet, and she wishes she’d had more than just four marvelous children. Simply Saline™ by Arm & Hammer Review

Simply Saline™ Baby Nasal ReliefSimply Saline™ Baby Swabs

When your baby has a cold, you would do anything to make him/her feel better instantly and safely. Simply Saline Baby Nasal Relief and Simply Saline Baby Swabs gently clean, moisturize and relieve nasal dryness associated with colds, allergies, dust, dry air or other irritants.

It’s safe for babies 0 and up, it’s drug-free and clears those tender nasal passages from congestion.

I received complimentary product.

Cassandra's Review-  Gentle and easy to use, if handled properly the products can really help.  Any age can benefit, even my older teen will use this and it does not irritate the nose or cause nosebleeds.  Of course the baby will get a bit fussy with the swab, but I do not think anyone wants something willingly placed in the nose.  The simple and very quick procedure is worth making everyone feel better.    I do not like the taste of it as some does go back into the throat and you have to be careful to follow the directions so that no one gets hurt.

When Colin Cavendish, the new earl of Drayson, informs Lucy Beresford that she and her mother have two months to vacate the house they've called home for the past two years, Lucy is fit to be tied. They have no money, no relations they can turn to for help, and nowhere to go. How dare the earl break the promise his father had made to the Beresfords without so much as a twinge of conscience? Mere hours later, Lucy discovers the earl unconscious and injured in the middle of the road. Grudgingly, she takes him into her home to tend to his wounds, but when he awakens with no recollection of who he is, Lucy seizes the opportunity to teach a much-needed lesson in humility. Pushing her own twinge of conscience aside, she informs the earl of Drayson that he is nothing more than a mere servant. Her servant, in fact. Accidently trading places with the most powerful sorceress of the realm, Coldivor, Dezaray finds herself assuming the identity of her magical lookalike, having to convince everyone in the realm that she is the real deal.

Aside from a few minor hiccups along the way, like the fact that she is not magical nor does she know even the simplest cards trick; Dezaray soon finds herself settling in. Particularly in the arms of Milo; a blue-eyed jokester with the ability to teleport.

However, it doesn’t take long for Dezaray to realise that life on the other side is far from glitz and glamour and that creatures unimaginable are hunting her. A war is brewing between the seven empires of Coldivor and those that long to take over. Dezaray’s enchanted double is their only hope; their secret weapon, set to be unleashed on her eighteenth birthday when she is bequeathed with the powers of her forefathers.

But for the enchantress to return, Dezaray has to leave, and the thought of going back to Islon fills Dezaray with dread, for more reasons than one. The Secret to Hummingbird Cake by Celeste Fletcher McHale Review

When all else fails, turn to the divine taste of hummingbird cake.

In the South you always say “yes, ma’am” and “no, ma’am.” You know everybody’s business. Football is a lifestyle not a pastime. Food—especially dessert— is almost a religious experience. And you protect your friends as fiercely as you protect your family— even if the threat is something you cannot see.

In this spot-on Southern novel brimming with wit and authenticity, you’ll laugh alongside lifelong friends, navigate the sometimes rocky path of marriage, and roll through the outrageous curveballs that life sometimes throws . . . from devastating pain to absolute joy. And if you’re lucky, you just may discover the secret to hummingbird cake along the way.

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review-  This book is sure to tug at your heartstrings. It is mixed with emotions so much so that you can easily have a stack of tissues right next to you for both the ups and downs.  The author does a great job of mixing in the deep south with the bonding of friendships and the strength of the women created is both powerful and inspiring.  I would recommend grabbing a cup of sweet tea and settling in for a real treat.

THE DIRT CURE Growing Healthy Kids with Food Straight from Soil by Maya Shetreat-Klein, MD Review

In the tradition of Michael Pollan, Mark Hyman, and Andrew Weil, pioneering integrative pediatric neurologist Maya Shetreat-Klein, MD, reveals the shocking contents of children’s food, how it’s seriously harming their bodies and brains, and what we can do about it. And she presents the first nutritional plan for getting and keeping children healthy—a plan that any family can follow.

New alarming studies show the dramatic rise of chronic disease in children—from allergies and ADHD to mental illnesses and obesity. A traditionally trained pediatric neurologist and a parent herself, Dr. Maya encountered the limits of conventional medicine when her son suffered a severe episode of asthma on his first birthday and began a backward slide in his development. Treatments failed to reverse his condition, so Dr. Maya embarked on a scientific investigation, discovering that food was at the root of her son’s illness, affecting his digestive system, immune system, and brain. The solution was shockingly simple: Heal the food, heal the gut, heal the brain…and heal the child.

Recent changes in growing and processing food harm kids’ gut microbiomes, immune systems, and brains, contributing to chronic disease. Dr. Maya’s plan started with the soil, using fresh foods and nature to heal her son from the inside out and the outside in. Since then, she’s successfully helped chronically ill patients from around the world. Revealing the profound connections between food, nature, and children’s health, Dr. Maya explains how food is constantly changing kids’ bodies, brains, and even genes—for better or for worse. She also shares success stories from her practice and tips as a working mother of three on stocking healing foods (from veggies to chocolate!), reading labels, and getting even picky eaters into the new menu. This paradigm-shifting book empowers you to transform your child’s health through food and ensure the long-term wellbeing of your kids and the entire family.

About the Author

Maya Shetreat-Klein, M.D., is an integrative pediatric neurologist with a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was awarded the Edward Padow Award for Excellence in Pediatrics and graduated with a Special Distinction in Research in Child Neurology for her original work on autism. Dr. Shetreat-Klein completed the University of Arizona's two-year Fellowship in Integrative Medicine, founded by Andrew Weil, M.D., and is now a member of the faculty. She teaches integrative neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York Medical College, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

She lectures nationally and internationally at conferences for both physicians and laypeople on topics such as children’s health, autism, integrative medicine and nutrition, toxins and neurological health. Additionally, Dr. Shetreat-Klein sits on expert advisory boards, including chef Bill Telepan’s Wellness in the Schools and Documenting Hope.

She has been interviewed and quoted on Dr.Oz, NPR Marketplace, The New York Times Magazine, WCBS-TV News, and WABC-TV News and has partnered with Sen. Charles Schumer in promoting legislation for reducing toxic exposures in childhood.  Perhaps her most valued work is seeing patients at her own integrative practice in New York City, where she also lives with her family, dog, and eight chickens.

I received a complimentary copy.

Cassandra's Review-  I found the information can be useful for adults as well as children.  There are so many people forcing their kids to take medications that are very harmful, just so that they can cope with them.  It is so sad that society chooses to do this and sometimes a doctor will try to force a child to take a medication, when they may be misdiagnosing them at the same time.

As a mom with special needs kids in my family, I felt like this book was perfect as it filled with great knowledge on the topic.  Being able to have many alternatives to help my family is so important and I thank the author for opening more options to people who may not know about them.

Cassandra's Review-- I have had the honor of working with YourNovel in the past and the books are very high quality.  I enjoy being able to personalize them to fit my needs.  The process is very simple, actually the hardest part for me was trying to select which excellent story, I wanted.

I would really like to see this site expand to children and teen selections or family friendly options, as I feel not everyone has a lot of hot romance laying around the house.    Even the mild selection can make you blush so not at all for anyone but adults but it does make a great gift.

The Sixth Domicile By Courtney Ruggle Book Tour

The Sixth Domicile Cover

Title: The Sixth Domicile

Author: Courtney Ruggle

Genre: New Adult Dystopian

In a future ravaged by greed and war, The Domicile has emerged. A new civilization governed by clandestine Elders where citizens are united by white masks and uniform identities. To remove one’s mask, to go outside the Domicile, to show defiance, means being sent to the Meurtre, a horrifying death sentence.

Q437B doesn’t follow the rules. She craves sunlight, dares to love her childhood friend B116A, and – the most forbidden of all – has seen the true face of her beloved beneath the mask.
But when Q becomes an Adulte, The Domicile threatens to take away everything that makes her happy. She is forced to marry an abusive soldier who demands she conform. Whispers spread about the unconventional lessons she teaches her new students.

And when Q openly disobeys the Elders, the people become restless, questioning the truth of the world in the wake of such defiance.
Rumblings of discontent stir as others begin to follow the path toward their freedom. The Revolution has begun, and Q is the spark that ignited the flames.

The stars twinkled with their utmost brightness tonight, as if attempting to show us their beauty tenfold. I smiled at them, thanking them for their show. B’s arms wrapped around my shoulders, our hips touching as we sat in the grass. B was more silent and reserved.
“Do you feel it, Q?” he asked after some time in silence. I turned away from admiring the glimmering stars.

“Feel what?” I asked. I laid my head on his shoulder, attempting to put as much of my body on his.
“It’s different. Something is different.” I did feel it, an alien something, a nagging in the air. But I couldn’t figure out what it meant. Everyone in the Domicile was behaving the same way as always. Nothing appeared to be different on the surface; more like boiling underneath it. Like the small, almost invisible heat waves I could see on the heated days B and I snuck from the Domicile. So small and subtle, but if you looked from the right angle, you could see them boiling and rolling under the air currents.

I lifted my head off his shoulder, watching his mask contort with the expression he wore underneath it.

My fingertips glided down the side of his mask, trailing from his brow down over his unpainted cheek to his chin. The stark black of the fabric covering my finger contrasted with the pallid color of his mask. I hated the way his mask was only a reminder of what I couldn’t have—the real him that lay underneath. And of the society that was designed to keep us apart. I needed him. And it terrified me.

B reached up, his hand catching mine, and I could feel the desperation in his grip. He took in a deep inhale, his chest rising with the extra breath, and I felt my own chest tighten.

“Q, you’re the spark.”

Courtney’s love for writing started pretty much when she learned to read, which her mother would tell you was a feat in itself back when she was in the first grade. Once she aced those flashcards with vocabulary words, Courtney’s writing took off. And her love with it. In school, she was always writing short stories on a word processor (What?? Word processor with floppy disks?). Oh yes, she literally had a card filing case full of floppy disks.

Now getting her Doctorate in social work, she’s used this education to help her writing some of the gritty issues entwined in her stories. When Courtney isn’t writing her next book while drinking coffee, you can find her doing homework (drag) with chocolate chip flavored coffee, reading series of books (because school books are only so interesting) while drinking pumpkin flavored coffee, playing with her little boy, or daydreaming of future beach houses while drinking some other scrumptious flavor of coffee.

First Look blog tour for Divine Collision by Jim Gash @Worthypub @Jim_Gash #DivineCollision

Los Angeles lawyer and law professor, Jim Gash, tells the amazing true story of how, after a series of God-orchestrated events, he finds himself in the heart of Africa defending a courageous Ugandan boy languishing in prison and wrongfully accused of two separate murders. Ultimately, their unlikely friendship and unrelenting persistence reforms Uganda's criminal justice system, leaving a lasting impact on hundreds of thousands of lives and unearthing a friendship that supersedes circumstance, culture and the walls we often hide behind.

There is no greater love than laying down your life for a friend. This profound love seeps through every page of Jim and Henry's story, like a healing balm. Over the last several years I have had the great privilege of witnessing Jim's passion for Ugandan people and his willingness to lay down his own life for others. Divine Collision will remind you once again how one small gesture of love can make a monumental impact on a person for eternity.

Cassandra's Review- A powerful read.  The author kept my attention and heart all through the story.  I would highly recommend this book to older youth and adults.   So much happens all over the world and this story is very touching.  People should also do more in the USA as well because right in our own backyards the worst is happening.   While I would never compare my country to another, I am simply stating that by fixing our own and making it stronger we will be able to really help others.
