  • Oak-Y Dokey
  • Dish It Out clary sage & citrus
  • Six compartment cleaning caddy

Let me start off by saying I cannot stand the smell of chemical cleaning products. Most of them give me headaches, and I will not subject my son to the same torture just to clean my apartment. So... I went on a search for natural/green/kid-safe cleaners. I found this great brand, and they let me try out their awesome products. I didn't photograph everything I used the products on... I did some cleaning for a friend, and I just couldn't show the world the terrible state their house was in before I came over with my super handy cleaning caddy. I did however choose to show a few of the before and after photos of my new apartment. They were supposed to clean it before I moved in..................They did not.

IMG_1560IMG_2129 The Dish It Out dish liquid soap comes in a bottle with a very convenient squirt cap, and works like a charm to get my dishes spotless.

Warning: The ceiling fan you are about to see is completely disgusting.

Can you even believe they rented me an apartment this dirty? It blew my mind, but luckily I received the Housewarming Kit right before I was given the keys to this..."home."

My absolute favorite Better Life Product is the Oak-Y Dokey wood polish. The scent alone would make me buy this cleaner. It makes my crappy little apartment smell so amazing and cozy and clean.

I was gifted this lovely TV stand in awesome condition...

photo 1photo 2photo 3photo 4

Oak-Y Dokey gets my cheap hand-me-down furniture all shiny and clean. For the first time in my life I actually want to dust my furniture. These Better Life cleaning products make me feel really great. I'm not spraying harsh chemicals into the air, harming the environment anymore. I clean more often now because I don't have to wait for Raine to go to his dad's house.

I use the What-EVER! clary sage & Citrus cleaner on my counters and in the bathroom. Love the scent.

I am such a huge fan of the I Can See Clearly, WOW! glass cleaner. No headaches from cleaning the windows and mirrors anymore! Must stock up on this.

The loofahs work really great as well. I like that they are all plant based and compostable.

The Simply Floored! cleaner I loved. Squirt it on the floor, & mop away the dirt. So Simple ;)

Big bonuses:

Gluten free & hypoallergenic Not tested on animals Safe for waterways & marine life

I highly recommend this brand, and I am very happy to be giving away a Housewarming Kit (a $52 value currently on sale for only $42.49 with free ground shipping in the lower 48 states) to one lucky Her3littlethinkers reader!

The Current by Yannick Thoraval Tour and Giveaway

 Publisher: Yannick Thoraval (September, 2014)
Category: Literary Fiction, Climate Fiction
Tour Date: November, 2014
Available in: ebook, 312 Pages

Peter Van Dooren’s wealth and prestige mean that his family wants for nothing – except a husband and a father.

When the president of a sinking tropical island in the south pacific calls on the world’s most ingenious entrepreneurs to help save his people, Van Dooren reckons his plan can save the island and its people’s way of life.

If it works, Van Dooren’s plan will not only make him richer, it could also change the very idea of nations and borders. After all, changing the world is what Peter really wants to accomplish.
The thing is, not all of the islanders share Van Dooren’s vision for their homeland. That won’t stop Peter from risking everything to prove that nature can be tamed. Playing God may cost Van Dooren his fortune and his own family.

While Peter plots a world away, his wife, son and daughter sink deeper into their own personal abyss of retail therapy, amateur pornography and Christian fundamentalism.
Everyone is adrift on the same tide of greed, lust and fear. This is the current that shapes the world. It always has; it always will.

Cassandra's Review-   The book is edgy and brings so much to think about within its pages.  The story is raw and moving.  The scenarios involved will have you really wondering what will happen all throughout and the ending is so good you're going to want to read the book again!  The author takes real and combines it with so much energy in his words that they come to life.  I would highly recommend this for adults.

Winter Wolf Blast Giveaway $100 Amazon Gift Card or Paypal Cash

Winter WolfWinter Wolf (Witch & Wolf Book 2) by R.J. Blain The Hunted Wizard When Nicole dabbled in the occult, she lost it all: Her voice, her family, and her name. Now on the run from the Inquisition, she must prove to herself—and the world—that not all wizards are too dangerous to let live. The savage murder of a bookstore employee throws Nicole into the middle of Inquisition business, like it or not. Driven by her inability to save the young man’s life, she decides to hunt the killer on her own. Using forbidden magic to investigate the past, she learns that the murderer is in fact a disease that could kill the entire werewolf race. Forced to choose between saving lives and preserving her own, Nicole embraces the magic that sent her into exile. Without werewolves, the power of the Inquisition would dwindle, and she could live without being hunted. Nicole’s only hope for success lies in the hands of the werewolves she hates and the Inquisition she fears, but finding someone to trust is only the beginning of her problems. There are those who want to ensure that the werewolves go extinct and that the Inquisition falls. But, if she fails to find a cure, her family—including her twin sister—will perish…
Excerpt Almost everyone in the store had a phone. Dormant devices, from reading lights to mobile chargers, littered the tables. One woman, browsing books nearby, had four battery-powered devices in her purse. One was a phone, and like mine, it hungered. Its need was strong; its battery waned to the point of failure. If I wanted, I could charge it for her. No one would notice if I did. Maybe the woman would wonder how her phone hadn’t died before she got home. It only had a few minutes left. It’d take me all of ten seconds to fix it for her. If I did, I wouldn’t be so aware of it. But to do so, I’d have to touch her—or her phone. Some things I could manipulate without having a direct conduit, but cell phone batteries were tricky, greedy things. I cringed a little, setting the thriller book down. I picked up the next nearest title. I flipped it over, not reading the text on the back. Did I dare? Out of the corner of my eye, I watched the woman browsing through the books. All it would take was a few seconds. I could charge it without her noticing. That was one thing I was actually good at. I put the novel I held down and wandered to the same table, careful not to look at her. Book by book, I investigated the titles, circling to where she stood. “You’re Nicole Thomas, aren’t you? The actress. You’re her.” My quarry appraised me with a pleased expression. People normally recognized the mainliners, people with beautiful faces and voices to match, people who didn’t avoid crowds. In short, people other than me. I met her gaze, abandoning my perusal of novels. “I am,” I replied, wincing a little at the sandpaper-rough quality of my voice. At least I hadn’t been reduced to a whisper—yet. My fatal flaw was my rough, grating voice. Chronic laryngitis did that to a person. It ruined careers, as it had mine, though I hadn’t quite given up on being an actress. I’d already lost the ability to sing. I wasn’t going to let a stupid disease take everything away from me. The woman smiled, not seeming to mind talking to someone who sounded more like a zombie than a human. “You’re taller than I expected. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She thrust out her hand. We shook. I left her phone alone. “They keep putting me next to giants,” I quipped. It was true. When I did manage to get on the silver screen, I worked alongside actors easily a foot-and-a-half taller than me. “It’s a pleasure to meet you too.” I matched her smile. She didn’t tell me her name, and I didn’t ask for it. It took all of my will not to fiddle with her phone. All it would take was a murmured word and a thought, and it’d be done. It would have been easy to charge the battery when our hands had been clasped together, but I hadn’t dared. If, sometime later, she noticed her phone had magically been charged—literally—she might remember me. She knew my name. And in true cowardice, I couldn’t bring myself to help her. If she connected the strange behavior of her phone with me, she might tell someone. If she did, I’d be as good as dead—or worse. I had dabbled in the occult, and the occult had dabbled back, and there were those who didn’t like when that happened. The last thing I needed was them finding me. Excerpt I slammed my car’s door, spun on a heel, and swore I would have a perfectly normal visit to the mall. All I needed was one little book. Even I could walk into a bookstore, pick up a novel, and leave without causing any trouble. This time, I wouldn’t blow out the lights. There wouldn’t be a single power surge. I wouldn’t turn on every unplugged device in the electronics store on my way across the mall. In the ten minutes it would take me to get in and out, the only thing anyone would notice about me was the fact that I wore a high-collared sweater in late summer. I had a mission, and I would complete it without fail. The novel my agent insisted I read would be mine. For a long moment, I considered turning around and getting back into my car. Dominic would forgive me if I didn’t start reading the book until tomorrow. I could call in a favor and ask someone to pick up a copy for me. Then I definitely wouldn’t run any risk of blowing anything up. If I had been smart, I would’ve just ordered the damned thing on the internet, but I had waited too long. Fishing my cell out of my pocket, I unlocked the screen with a swipe of my finger. The charging icon mocked me. Despite running every battery-draining app I could find, the battery held a full charge. I opened another app, a devilish program capable of killing the battery in ten minutes. It wouldn’t, not with me around, but if I was too busy keeping my phone topped up, maybe my mall shopping trip would prove to be mundane. I shook my head, laughing at my foolishness. No one would notice my phone. No one would notice me for more than a second. They’d notice my clothes, and then they’d file me away as yet another weirdo wearing something strange to catch attention. L.A. was full of people like that. I had no reason to worry. Even if I managed to embarrass myself yet again by losing control of my powers, no one would know I was the cause of unplugged electronics turning on or unusual power surges. Straightening my shoulders, I fixed my eyes on the line of glass doors and marched my way across the parking lot. In and out. No blown lights. No power surges. No feeding power to unplugged electrical devices. No charging batteries for strangers. I was in control, and I would charge only my phone. Making my way to the entry, I paused long enough to hold the door for a little old lady who insisted on making her way through the regular doors despite her walker. I couldn’t blame her. If I lived to be her age, I wouldn’t want to rely on automatic doors either. She thanked me with a pat on the arm. Flashing her my best smile, I slipped inside. Nothing happened. Perfect. I could handle ten minutes in the crowded corridors. Maybe if I told myself that enough times, I’d believe it. Author RJ BlainAuthor R.J. Teaser Excerpt

A low beat of classic rock came from the backyard as Maya stood on Terran's front porch. Always one to forge her own trail, she fought the notion that this pull toward him was predestined. Hadn't she, so many years ago, left behind her birthplace to begin a new life? At eighteen, she had traveled across America by train to California. Forever frozen at age twenty-one, she fought the notion this relationship was chosen for her. Fate did not have her at Terran's doorstep-hope did.
At the door's threshold, indecision raced through her mind. Should she cross into his life and get release for this pent-up need, or should she walk away? If she left, could she keep him safe and ignore the pull attempting to anchor her in place? Could she stand still, neither in, nor out?

Short Excerpt:

Hazy heat shot through her body. “Not shy at all, are you?” If only Terran knew how easily she could push him away.
“I’m very clear about what I want.” His dominant position was much too commanding, but at the same time, Maya found his boldness intriguing.
His lips hovered above hers and the scent of cinnamon enticed her senses. Their elemental connection vibrated throughout her body—strong, sensual, primal. Why him? Why had she never felt this attraction to Nodin or Flint? Was it because water flowed toward the shore? Was he the grounding force beneath her feet?
If she stretched, her lips would meet his. The flames from their kiss would burn down the building.
Fahrenheit 451 had nothing on them.
However, book burning in the children’s section would most likely get her dismissed as a volunteer. Tonight was soon enough to find out just how good cinnamon-flavored Terran tasted.
“I’ll drop by later.” She pushed a book against his chest and waited until he took it before stepping from under his cage. “You should read that book. It’s very informative.”
His brows drew together as he read the title aloud, “The Little Mermaid?”

Short Excerpt 2
A fine mist fell from Quint’s office sprinklers while spouts outside the glass walls still erupted with a heavy flow. Tiny droplets covered Terran’s lenses, hindering his vision. If he wiped off his glasses, what would he see? After twenty-seven years of living in one reality, would he now see another? Doubts about Quint and the Elementals’ abilities could no longer fester in his mind. They had to wash away. He used his wet shirt to wipe his glasses. With them perched back on his nose, his vision remained blurred by streaks of water, which matched the hazy perception he could no longer deny.
Quint, the lecherous being who wanted to control his body, who had tried to kill Maya, stood costumed before him in Aether’s skin. The vision of his future altered slightly as another seemingly impossible supposition became fact. Dark matter could take human form, Maya was a water-girl, and they were in a world of shit.

Book Description:

One Choice Can Make an Immortal Human

But What Choices Need to Be Made to Go Back Again?

The revolutionary year following Serenay "Ren" Avalon's eighteenth birthday could rival Clark Kent's entire adolescence.

After her mother and her grandmother were killed in a car bomb explosion at the heart of their sleepy hillside town where nothing extraordinary usually happens, she discovers that her mother is actually alive and in hiding, her long lost father is a Father, and her best friend, who turns out was once an Archangel, has taken a gargantuan step back in his evolution to live on Earth with her for the past thirteen lifetimes. And besides being the only one in her immediate circle with a serious case of past life dementia, she learns that during her first lifetime, she was married to one of the greatest teachers history has ever known who is now the gorgeous lead singer of a hot new rock band taking the world by storm, and who is keen to meet up with her again in the twenty first century.

As Ren realizes that the powerful family name she bears also brings with it the promise of an unnatural death, she is reminded that it has always brought hope to people on both sides of the veil, human and Tor. As the world draws closer to being completely shrouded by the dark cloaks of her age-old enemies, the Bloodstones, she now, more than ever before, has to draw strength from her origins to protect her family and their ancient truth from this global force responsible for torturing and killing centuries of her ancestors.

As she struggles to unearth who she was, who she is, and who she chooses to be, as well as the expectations of her first mortal love and the heavenly love she has always guiltily denied, she has until midnight on the Solstice find a way to bring light to a compromised heart and to a world on the brink of perpetual darkness.

This first book in The Rosefire Trilogy by debut YA author, Ky Lehman, is a reminder of how the choices we make in the throes of love, loss, hope, and adversity are what makes the divine human, and the human divine.

"This book packed so much, it’s almost impossible to summarize in a few centuries. Ren is pretty awesome. Despite all the weird things she hears, and everything that’s going on, she manages to keep her head above water and to bravely shoulder it all. The romance storyline was interesting too, and it added an extra dimension to the book.

Like I mentioned, it’s tough to describe how cool this book is. The writing is fun, the characters are amazing, the plot has so many twists and turns I barely could keep up with it, and overall, it’s a blast to read. Highly recommended to all fans of paranormal romance." ~ I'm an Eclectic Reader
