More silly and unlawful conduct by women than anyone could ever imagine!

There’s a story for everyone in this book. You can read about the 6-foot, 400-pound woman arrested for fraud with $26,000 found stuffed in her very ample bra; stories of women who get naked and do disorderly things like steal cars, smash windshields and freak out in airports; the story of the dying woman who asked her husband to have a replica of her vagina carved on her tombstones which he could look at instead of chasing women after her death; stories of women teachers who have sexual affairs with high school boys; a woman who called New Haven police from a nightclub to give her a ride home; a story about a Texas women who asks her son to set a snake afire in her backyard and burns down her house; a story of a Japanese madam who specializes in providing 330-pound prostitutes to men who like women with “explosive boobs and butts”; a story about an Arizona lady who was the spokesperson for the State Department of Public Safety who was forced to resign when she learned that she was an undocumented alien living illegally in the U.S.; a “drunken dummy” or two; and a wide variety of just plain, stupid criminal stories about women in trouble that make this anthology worth reading. Charlene (Charlie) Bennett is a simple waitress in the wilds of  Hyder, Alaska whose father has just gone missing Isolated and alone, her fathers' disappearance is nothing new to her, but this time things are a little different. For starters, there is a handsome stranger, Daniel that has come to town and while Charlie has never taken more than a passing interest in strangers, she has an immediate and intense attraction to this one. Secondly, she's soon to find out that this stranger isn't what he appears. He's about to throw Charlie's entire world into a major upheaval. Now Charlie has to decide if she believes this strangers' incredible story and follow Daniel or if she wants to stay in the only home she's ever known for an uncertain future and an absentee father. As she comes to terms with what Daniel shows her, she realizes that he's the only true thing in her life and leaves everything she knows behind to follow the handsome stranger.

She was standing in the middle of the poorly lit living room surrounded by chaos holding a baseball bat looking more like a scared child than the woman she was. "Charlie, please open the door." The voice sounded so familiar to her, but what on Earth would he be doing here, and how did he know where she lived. She moved towards the door. "Daniel?" "Yes. Charlie, please trust me, we don't have very much time, please open the door and let me help you."

She was very confused but she moved slowly to the door. She knew that Daniel couldn't have possibly done this mess, unless he had done it when she was working. But why would he do something like this and then spend the evening with her. "Charlie, please hurry, we don't have much time and I need you to trust me. I had nothing to do with what's happened in your home, believe me. I'm here only to help you."

She reached for the locks on the door and slowly turned them to open the door. Before she could even turn the knob, Daniel had turned the door and pushed his way in. He quickly moved through the door and closed it again and locked it pushing furniture in front of the door and windows. Charlie was standing there staring at him with the baseball bat still in a defense mode. "You can put that down; it won't do you any good anyway." Charlie was disoriented and didn't understand what was going on. "What are you doing here? And how do you even know where I live?"

Daniel hadn't stopped moving around the room moving furniture into defensive positions around the doors and windows.  "I followed you Charlie." "What?! How did you follow me? I drove off and you were still standing in the parking lot when I left." "No Charlie. I wasn't. You saw me following you; you just don't want to admit that you knew it was me. But we don't have time for this right now. Please get whatever you need to leave this place forever and get to the back door as quickly as you can."

She was just standing there looking at him in bewilderment. What the hell did he mean he followed her? She had no idea what he was talking about, and leave this place forever, why on Earth would she do that? "Charlie. MOVE." His voice was filled with urgency and terror and Charlie snapped to her senses."I don't understand. What's going on?" Charlie was near tears, she didn't deal well with pressure to make snap decisions and was feeling overwhelmed by what was happening. "Charlie. I don't have time to explain everything to you, so please you will have to take some of this on faith until we can discuss this in a way that I can explain. Please. You know I would never hurt you; in fact I'm doing my best to prevent just that. But you are in serious danger right now, and I need you to focus and do as I say. Can you do that for me?"

Charlie was blinking back the tears but nodded her head. She didn't know why she trusted this man, but he'd not given her any reason not to and right now he was thinking straight and she wasn't. "Go into your room, grab as much clothes as you can put into a backpack. Nothing more than a backpack. Say you understand me." "I understand." "Good. Take only what you can carry in this one backpack, nothing more, and only take what you need. I know it's hard to let go of some things, but they are only possessions, so decide if they are worth your life. If they are, take them, if not, leave it. Say you understand me."  "I understand, but..." "We don't have time, Charlie. NOW."

Keeper vs. Reaper by Jennifer Malone Wright Blog Tour and Giveaway

Keeper vs. Reaper (Graveyard Guardians #1)
When her father died, Lucy Mae Estmond inherited the family business. She has known all of her life that she would be in line to watch over the souls of the recently passed, keeping them safe from the Reapers.
The soul eating Reapers have been a plague upon the Earth, stealing souls and leaving the Keepers as the only thing that stands between Heaven and Hell. The factions despise each other and have warred for generations.
Then Lucy discovers an ancient legend predicting the arrival of the Chosen One, destined to bring forth an end to the Reapers. The surprises continue when she realizes she is that person. For Lucy, being the Chosen One doesn’t change much. Fighting Reapers is just another day in the life of a Keeper.
When she meets Jack Walker, they both realize they have an insane, mutual attraction. Too bad that he’s been sent to prevent the prophecy from coming true. His only mission: to kill the Chosen One.

“Yeah, I get that.” He took a swig of his beer and cringed. “Ugh. Can I get a shot of

Jameson with this too?”

“I thought you tried to stay away from the hard stuff.” Her dark eyes penetrated him,

looking for a reason that he would want to be drinking the hard A.

“Not tonight I don’t.”

“Fine. But, because I’m your friend I’m only allowing you one shot then it’s back to the

hangover beer for you.”

Friend. What a fucked up word. The F word for sure.

He gave her a twisted smile as she handed him the shot of amber colored liquid. “I don’t

have any friends. Not anymore.”

She shot him a concerned look and put the Jameson bottle back on the shelf. “You do now.

I think we hit it off as far as friends go. See, I’m going to help you out right now, just like a dude

would. There’s Janette.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

Jack raised his eyebrows and shrugged his shoulders, then tilted his head back and slammed

his shot.

Reese had her hands on her hips. “Janette. The girl you took home the other night.” She

“Oh! You mean Janice.” He turned around to see who she was talking about.

“No, I mean Janette. That is her name, asshole.”

“Oh shit, really?”

Reese shook her head and laughed. “You may be good looking, but you are the poster child

for guys women shouldn’t date. I have no idea why I like you at all.”

With a smile, Jack turned around and wiggled his eyebrows, “maybe we should take that to

the next level.” He was totally joking and she knew it. The two of them seemed to have a mutual

no touchy code.

“Not a chance in hell, Casanova.”

Jack laughed and then once again looked over his shoulder at Janette. Now, that was exactly

what he needed right now. Nothing calms the nerves after an attempted murder and a fight with

your friend like a good night of fucking out the frustration. He grabbed his beer and got up off

the stool.

BETRAYAL by Lara Morgan Blog Tour and Giveaway

Shaan and Tallis have escaped from the fallen god, Azoth, but his dark shadow stretches over the enslaved people of the Wild Lands and the terrifying army of human-serpent warriors. War is coming, but the Council of Nine turn from the twins and their tales of Azoth’s menace, focusing instead on a war on the Free Lands.

Meanwhile, the Four Lost Gods have awoken, ready to reclaim the Birthstone currently in Azoth’s possession. But rather than the saviours Shaan and Tallis needed, the Four begin to exert terrible control over the people of Saranthium. With Tallis struggling to control the growing power within, and Shaan attempting to resist the pull of Azoth, the twins are under assault from all sides. Victory may still be possible, but only through a devastating act of betrayal

Lara Morgan is a pen name I use to write fantasy and science fiction. I have also written under the name Lara Martin as well as my maiden name, Lara Brncic – one which many find much more difficult to pronounce.

I’m a first generation Australian (my mother is Bermudian and my father Croatian) and I grew up in the towns of Mount Helena and Chidlow in the hills outside of Perth, Western Australia where the trees are tall, the summers are hot and it wasn’t unusual to find a snake in the grass down the back of the block. I was a bookworm of a kid spending a lot of nights reading with a torch when it was supposed to be lights out and wrote my first book when I was still in primary school: a blatantly plagiarized version of The Magic Faraway Tree – thank you so much Enid Blyton for your stellar imagination.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Western Australia where I met my partner, Grant, and have lived in Geraldton since 1993 – not counting the months where we’ve run away to join the backpacker circus in Europe, North America or Asia. I’ve worked as an arts project officer, been production manager of a newspaper and a consulting editor and even at one stage had a great time writing a weekly TV column where I criticized everything with ferocious abandon – but then there came a time when I had to grow up and find my real job AKA being a writer. If you want to know how I got published click on the Writing link for the full thrilling story.

Currently, I write full time and when I’m not working (or even when I am supposed to be) I can be found either reading or feeding my insatiable need for science fiction television shows.

If you want to contact me please feel free to send me an EMAIL through this site, writing is a lonely business and it’s always lovely to know there’s people out there.
