Too Many Rocks In Your Pocket Review

Too Many Rocks in your Pocket was designed to help make us more aware of the stress we face on a daily basis and as a vehicle to help end the day by removing some of the layers. This is no guarantee, it's simply a step or a tool designed to identify stress relief.

Springfield, MO

The idea came through extensive work as a nationwide business consultant & adviser for over 20 years; whereas, through discovery many clients would allow stresses to build-up and end up affecting their business and personal performance. This is how we came up with “Too Many Rocks In Your Pocket”.
Stress Rocks Goal: Too Many Rocks in your Pocket was designed to help make us more aware of the stress we face on a daily basis and as a vehicle to help end the day by relieving those stresses for the night.
Stress Rocks Objective: To daily wipe the slate clean of the variety of issues that have taken up a stressful space in your life.
Cassandra's Review- This is a great invention and the rocks are real. I like the little slip of paper that explains what this purpose of this exercise is and the younger kids love the rocks while the older ones were able to try these out. I think that the family can find a lot to talk about while using these. I am not sure if people would just make these by themselves.

Faith Departed Paperback by Elizabeth Maddrey Review and Giveaway

Faith Departed (Remnants) (Volume 1)

Starting a family was supposed to be easy.
Twin sisters June and July have never encountered an obstacle they couldn’t overcome. Married just after graduating college, the girls and their husbands remained a close-knit group. Now settled and successful, the next logical step is children.
But as the couples struggle to conceive, each must reconcile the goodness of God with their present suffering. Will their faith be strong enough to triumph in the midst of trial?
Image of Elizabeth Maddrey
Elizabeth Maddrey began writing stories as soon as she could form the letters properly and has never looked back. Though her practical nature and love of math and organization steered her into computer science for college and graduate school, she has always had one or more stories in progress to occupy her free time. When she isn’t writing, Elizabeth is a voracious consumer of books and has mastered the art of reading while undertaking just about any other activity. She loves to write about Christians who struggle through their lives, dealing with sin and receiving God’s grace.

Elizabeth lives in the suburbs of Washington D.C. with her husband and their two incredibly active little boys. She invites you to interact with her at her website or on Facebook:

“Stop stop stop stop.” June breathed the words as the digital readout on the bathroom scale flickered up. She cringed when the hateful thing finally followed her directions. One forty. One hundred and forty pounds. She stumbled backwards off the scale and dropped onto the cold edge of the bathtub. At five foot two, she was used to numbers much more in the range of one ten. But the last six months had added thirty pounds…that was five pounds a month. She buried her head in her hands. What was going on?
“Morning, baby.” Toby shuffled into the bathroom, rubbing his eyes. He stopped to give her an appreciative look and waggle his eyebrows. “Careful, you’re going to make me late for work.”
She chuckled in spite of herself. “You’re insane.” And blind. There was no point in drawing his attention to her ever expanding girth. She was on her way to being twice the woman he married four years ago. He hadn’t signed on for a two-in-one special.
He grabbed her arm and pulled her close, burying his nose in her neck. “I can’t help it if I have the world’s most enticing wife.”
He couldn’t possibly mean it. Her fat rolls squashed against his still-firm abs as he tightened his embrace. She fought the urge to push away and put on a robe. She forced her tone to be light. “Now, now. Didn’t you say you had a big meeting this morning?”
He pressed a kiss to her head and eased back, eyes still hinting at his interest. “I did…sadly, I did.”
She crossed her arms over her belly as he turned on the shower and tossed his towel over the door.
 “Any news, June?”
She swallowed the lump in her throat and shook her head.
“We’ll just have to practice more.” He shot her a wicked grin and stepped into the steaming shower.

Cassandra's Review- Hardships are not a favorite subject in a book for me. I do not like that sadness that this entails. I feel like it is written really well and the story has a good message included but I was not happy with the subject at hand. I would recommend reading this for yourself but do be prepared for the emotions that will surface through the book.

 FertilityBlend Supplement Facts for Men

Cassandra's Review-  No one will have the same results. If you take other medications be careful with these. Do not ever let children or teenagers get a hold of these.  I would recommend taking only when wanting to become fertile more so and not as a daily vitamin. I do not like the size or taste of the capsules, but I am not especially fond of supplements and did not really have a need to start taking these. As you know I will try my best to try something before I let you my reader family in on it. I can not take the male blend so I can not accurately tell you of the results and such but You can enter to win some bottles for you or a friend. Just enter on the form below.

Cassandra's Review-  A basic very quick book for children. The story of one that has been told and retold except it as a rhyme story line.  Great for really young kids and children new to their faith. Cute for home schools as well.  There is not a lot more to add to this review as the book was very simple.

Futureville Discover Your Purpose for Today by Reimagining Tomorrow By Skye Jethani Review

Want to see the future? It is brighter than you think.

What we believe about tomorrow determines how we live today. As Christians debate how to faithfully engage with our rapidly changing world, our vision of the future has never been more important.

But rather than providing a clear sense of purpose for our lives, popular Christian ideas about the future steal it from us by saying our work in the world, apart from ministry, has no eternal value. Is it any wonder why young adults are less interested in church, or why a culture desperate for meaning and hope dismisses our message?

In Futureville, Skye Jethani offers us a vision-shifting glimpse of the world of tomorrow described in Scripture. He reveals how a biblical vision of the future can transform every person’s work with a sense of purpose and dignity today.

Futureville is a smart, inspiring call to cultivate the order, beauty, and abundance that reflects the heart and vision of God for our world.

Cassandra's Review- Insight, knowledge and a mix of input has been inserted into this book. The author focuses on his points and that of his feelings and beliefs and as such creates a story that you can read through and think about.  I did not have a personal connection with this book but it does have some eye opening statements and is worth looking into.

Were on Fire by Addie Zierman Review

Author's web site
More Info
In the strange, us-versus-them Christian subculture of the 1990s, a person’s faith was measured by how many WWJD bracelets she wore and whether he had kissed dating goodbye.

Evangelical poster child Addie Zierman wore three bracelets asking what Jesus would do. She also led two Bible studies and listened exclusively to Christian music. She was on fire for God and unaware that the flame was dwindling—until it burned out.

Addie chronicles her journey through church culture and first love, and her entrance—unprepared and angry—into marriage. When she drops out of church and very nearly her marriage as well, it is on a sea of tequila and depression. She isn’t sure if she’ll ever go back.

When We Were on Fire is a funny, heartbreaking story of untangling oneself from what is expected to arrive at faith that is not bound by tradition or current church fashion. Addie looks for what lasts when nothing else seems worth keeping. It’s a story for doubters, cynics, and anyone who has felt alone in church.
Addie Zierman is a writer, blogger and recovering Jesus freak. She studied creative nonfiction at Hamline University and received her MFA there in 2010. Addie blogs regularly at where she’s working to redefine her faith one cliché at a time. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Andrew, and their two young sons.

Cassandra's Review- Sad and real is the best way for me to describe this book. It put me in kind of a down mood and was not at all uplifting. I feel like it does have a good meaning and will connect with the readers but it to me it left with me a empty feeling about and not very nice thoughts of faith. I do not know who exactly to recommend this to but surely not young children. As I always say read this for yourself as my opinion is just that and I will not discourage you from finding better favor.

FunBites Review and Giveaway

FUNBITES® is the first state of the art kitchen tool that instantly cuts kids' food into BITE-SIZED FUN SHAPED PIECES. FUNBITES® is 100% MADE IN THE USA and BPA free. They are perfect to get even the pickiest eaters to try something new and eat healthier. Make lunchtime more fun and create a FUNBITES® Bento lunch!

Choose your favorite FUNBITES® pack in Cube It! or Luv It! Use on any kid-friendly food from pancakes, fish, cheese, and bread to waffles, watermelon and burgers! Start with a flat surface and let the magic begin!

This is my first failed attempt at making Funbites. As you can tell I put the bread on the top of the bottom and then placed the top on it and pushed. So much for letting the littler kids tell me the directions but it was a fun first attempt.

OK like I said that was the wrong way and the outcome. I thought it was important not to hide this first try as it shows that even if you do it wrong it kinda works.

OK Now lets do it the right way.

                                                               Everything is all set.
Place FUNBITES® cutter on top of food. Remove popper top and set to the side.
Grab cutter handles on both sides, press down firmly and rock 5-6 times to cut through the food.
Lift the cutter up, insert popper top and pop out the bite-sized pieces!
Funbites is best if hand washed but is dishwasher safe (just wash together as a set as they come; they like to be together all the time!)
This is the end result. It was easy to use and fast and the Funbites come in other great shapes. This is a great product for Mother's Day as well.
