Athreya’s friend had been hospitalized after a botched Brazilian Butt Lift. After speaking to her friend, she realized the amount of pressure being felt by regular women to look impossibly perfect in order to feel ‘beautiful’. She didn’t want anyone else to suffer like her friend did. So, Aalysha spent the next 9 months creating, testing & developing 37 samples before creating a new padded shapewear concept that put the power of choice back into women’s hands. Now, New Zealand-based KURVWEAR empowers women all over the world by creating products that allow women to feel comfortable, confident and incredibly sexy in their own skin.
