To me plastic surgery is not anything I would rule out. While I am content with my being, I wouldn't mind having some extra weight taken off as it would make my body feel even better. If it's done for the wrong reasons or for popularity I feel like it's not going to benefit you truly, but if you are really in need I am sure there is an amazing plastic surgeon available near you.
To me its way to make yourself feel and be healthier, it can really change a life and should be both researched and seriously thought about before doing. Of course it's not affordable and most people will not be able to get it done professionally at least, and by the way never try to do this for yourself.
If you are a youth, please consider the real reason you would want to have this done, im my opinion unless its a medical need for kids, it probably should not be done. What is plastic surgery?
Let's ask Google and Wikipedia As seen on site
Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories: reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery includes craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. Thanks Wikipedia
In plastic surgery, the transfer of skin tissue (skin grafting) is a very common procedure. Skin grafts can be derived from the recipient or donors:
Techniques and procedures
Autografts are taken from the recipient. If absent or deficient of natural tissue, alternatives can be cultured sheets of epithelial cells in vitro or synthetic compounds, such as integra, which consists of silicone and bovine tendon collagen with glycosaminoglycans.
Allografts are taken from a donor of the same species.
Xenografts are taken from a donor of a different species.
Usually, good results would be expected from plastic surgery that emphasize careful planning of incisions so that they fall within the line of natural skin folds or lines, appropriate choice of wound closure, use of best available suture materials, and early removal of exposed sutures so that the wound is held closed by buried sutures.
Remember there are also Complications, risks and reversals
All surgery has risks. Common complications of cosmetic surgery includes hematoma, nerve damage, infection, scarring, implant failure and organ damage. Breast implants can have many complications, including rupture. In 2011 FDA stated that one in five patients who received implants for breast augmentation will need them removed within 10 years of implantation.
There are so many branches and other forms of plastic surgery, and it's great for the most part. It is really advancing and changing lives in a very impactful way. What are some reasons you might want or ot want to get it done? Do you think it's affordable? What age would you consider letting youth get it done if it was not for a medical emergency? Feel free to answer in the comments below.
If someone offered me a free procedure and could guarantee my safety again I would choose to have weight taken off as i do not like the feeling of the added bulky on me and I feel like it would free me to do more and have less pain, no matter how much you diet and exercise it can only do so much.
