A Chadwick Treasury: The Four Classic Stories of an Adventurous Blue Crab and His Chesapeake Bay Friends
The Chadwick Treasury begins with the original story of Chadwick the Crab, a little crab in the Chesapeake Bay who has big dreams of becoming a star at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The adventures continue when Chadwick teams up with friends Bernie the Seagull, Toulouse the Canada Goose, and Baron Von Heron, among others, to tackle the problem of pollution in Chadwick and the Garplegrungen. Romance blossoms next.

Chadwick asks his special friend, Esmeralda, to marry him. Chadwick’s Wedding is a joyous event in Shady Creek. Finally, in Chadwick Forever, our beloved crabs celebrate the arrival of their new family just when other bay friends find themselves on the endangered species list. Chadwick hopes readers will enjoy the stories and will also be inspired to help keep the Chesapeake Bay a safe place to live.

Priscilla Cummings is the author of fifteen picture books including the Chadwick the Crab series, Chesapeake ABC, and Beddy Bye in the Bay, as well as eight young adult novels such as the ALA Notable A Face First and the award-winning Red Kayak. The author has been a frequent speaker at elementary and middle schools throughout the country. She has two grown children and lives with her husband, John W. Frece, in Annapolis, Maryland.

A.R. Cohen was an art teacher for many years as well as a professional artist and illustrator. Retired today, he lives in rural Jarrettsville, Maryland, working in his studios, tending his gardens, and keeping hives of honeybees.

Cassandra's Review-  A wonderful and sweet tale that will have little ones wanting to sit and listen.  The illustrations are cozy and the stories are fun to read outloud.  Perfect for bedtime or a rainy afternoon.
