The 5 Biggest Conferences in the US

According to a 2014 study by Pricewaterhouse Coopers, there were 284,600 conferences, conventions and trade shows with 87 million attendees in the U.S., a figure that continues to be on the increase today. With so many options to choose from, it’s not easy for these events to stand out among others, and even harder for exhibitors to ensure that as many attendees stop by their exhibits. You’ll want to do some research to find some of the best trade show display ideas if you plan to have a booth at one of the top five conferences in the U.S.
SXSW, Austin, Texas

In the world of tech, there’s no bigger or better than South by Southwest, or SXSW as it’s most often referred to. Held annually over 10 days in March, it’s a combination tech and music festival that attractions thousands from around the world, gathering together entrepreneurs, creatives, influencers and innovators, allowing attendees to peek into the future of digital technology and creativity. It’s also a rare opportunity to mingle with great minds and find out about the latest and greatest websites, games and startups. In between, live music takes place on a variety of venues across the capital city, in clubs, bars, parks, hotels and churches.
Inc. 5000, San Antonio, Texas

Hosted annually over three days in mid-October, leaders and entrepreneurs come to San Antonio to look for ways to grow their businesses via a wide range of networking opportunities that aren’t necessarily all business. It includes the usual lineup of impressive speakers, like Daymond John of “Shark Tank” who appeared in 2017, as well as a famous Black-Tie Gala and a golf tournament for mixing with like-minded individuals. It’s one of the best to attend for anyone who wants to network with entrepreneurs who may be creating the next wave of great startups as well as to listen to inspirational speakers.
TechCrunch Disrupt NYC, New York City, New York

Frequently named the hottest tech conference of the year, TechCrunch Disrupt NYC is hosted annually in early September and showcases superstar tech speakers, pitches from up-and-coming startups and a range of panels aimed to provide inspiration for the future of tech.
WorldZ, Los Angeles, California

WorldZ will be held over October 17 and 18 in 2018, bringing together some of the most exciting experts from a diverse array of backgrounds to L.A. It aims to individualize the experience, helping attendees to take an action plan back to their business as well as meet the experts for some insider advice. There are mentorship lunches, over 70 master courses, live performances, a cultural hub and more. This year’s speakers will include Rolling Stone magazine president and CEO Gus Wenner, CEO and chairman Bob Pittman of iHeart Media, and many more.

Inbound is a great mix of entertainment and business insight, making education fun. It features inspiring keynotes throughout each day as well as a happy hour where you can get to know other attendees. Hosted September 4-7 in 2018, some of the speakers will include Deepak Chopra, executive producer and award-winning writer Shonda Rhimes and Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo movement.
