A nationwide contest gives a needy child the opportunity to spend Christmas with the Robertsons. A junior high kid from a poor family wins, and all things look wonderful--except for the fact that the boy is a complete terror. But he'll have to learn the hard way after the Robertsons get through with him.A heartwarming and hilarious story on the meaning of Christmas and what it's like to spend it with the Robertsons of Duck Commander.

Cassandra's Review Q&A-

What did you like about the book and why?  I like the close knit family and the faith they share. It brings joy to the heart of the reader.

What did you not like about the book and why?  I am not a follower of Duck Dynasty, so I had to learn and connect with the actual people.

What did you learn?  That there is a family that likes Christmas as much as mine. Except I do not condone hunting.

To whom would you recommend this book and why? A younger crowd who favor Duck Dynasty and love to read about Christmas with them.

Travis Thrasher
Few authors have shown such diversity as Travis Thrasher. From starting his career with sweet and moving love stories, Travis has navigated through various genres including suspense, adventure, and most recently supernatural thrillers. At the core of each of his stories lie flawed characters in search of redemption. He loves surprising his readers, not only with a different style of writing in each book but also with amazing twists in each story. The author of eighteen critically-acclaimed works of fiction, Travis lives with his wife and three daughters in a suburb of Chicago.
Kay Robertson, Duck Commander
Miss Kay is the revered matriarch of the family. What she says, goes. Married to Phil since the young age of 16, she has been keeping him and her 4 boys from spending too much time in the woods – by enticing them back to civilization each night with a home-cooked meal. Miss Kay believes her cooking talents are a gift that she must share, so she often ends up feeding all of the family and most of the neighborhood. Her most famous dishes include banana pudding, fried deer steak, crawfish pie, and sticky frog legs. Miss Kay's favorite family member is Jesse, the family dog. But here's the secret … every time he dies, Miss Kay quickly gets a new puppy that looks just like the other Jesse that passed and even gives it the same name. As Miss Kay puts it, "This way, you never have to grieve."

You can get more insight into Miss Kay and her kitchen when you pick up your copy of Miss Kay's Duck Commander Kitchen.
