No Snow for Christmas by Jill Kalz Review
Fawn Braun is worried. There is no snow, and Christmas Eve is tomorrow. Without snow, Christmas may silently pass by Pfeffernut County. With a little help and imagination, Fawn is ready to save Christmas.
Jill Kalz is the author of more than 70 titles for children, including the Tuckerbean beginning-reader series and the picture book Farmer Cap ("Pfeffernut County" series), finalist for a 2008 Minnesota Book Award and winner of the Readers' Choice Award and an AEP Distinguished Achievement Award. Kalz has also published poetry in the Nebraska Review, the Ohio Review, Cream City Review, and other magazines. Her short story "Last Call" was a runner-up for Minnesota Monthly's Tamarack Award. Cassandra's Review- I think the main character is very well crafted. The book is very easy to read and quick. The kids liked the illustrations. I think the message is powerful and well delivered!
