Blood Oath Blood & Fire Gladiator School series By Dan Scott Review
This second, action-packed book in the thrilling Gladiator School series takes Lucius and Quin on their deadliest adventure yet: a journey to Pompeii for the gladiatorial games. Although it's a lawless city, filled with knife-wielding thugs, Lucius seems to find a friend in Valens, the games' sponsor, who offers to help locate his missing father. Meanwhile, strange rumblings and tremors rock the town, and a seer warns that the "end of days" is near. What does this portend? Will Quin survive his fights with the seasoned gladiators of Pompeii? And is Valens all he seems?

Dan Scott was born in Surrey, England. Growing up, he became interested in ancient Rome, and his love of historical fiction provided plenty of inspiration for the adventure stories he began to write as a child. Eventually, his characters and stories developed into the action-packed Gladiator School series.
Cassandra's Review- I had the privilege of reading book 1, so book 2 started out familiar to me. It can be read as a standalone. There is quite a bit of action and the older kids will enjoy it, if they like that sort of thing. With an ending that had my family wanting to read the next book in the series with me, I was very pleased.
