Can't Wait to Show You Book Review
Can't Wait to Show You, the first member of the Belly Books Collection, is written for the expectant mother to bond with her baby in the womb while she celebrates this time of joyful anticipation. Upcoming titles will allow fathers, siblings, and other loved ones to share in this experience as well. The book has also won a Gold Medal from the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.
It has become clear that babies can already hear, recognize, and remember elements of language in the third trimester of pregnancy. A baby will have learned its mother’s unique voice by the time it’s born, and research shows that babies who are read a repetitive and rhythmic story before birth are soothed and calmed by the same story after birth. All the well-known benefits of reading to newborns—from parental bonding to the development of language skills—can be enhanced if a regular family storytime is established even before the baby is born.
“Expectant mothers find reading this book aloud a profoundly touching experience,” says co-author/illustrator Jacqueline Boyle, “because it lets them dream about the joys they’ll share with the coming baby. Later they're amazed to watch their newborn listen wide-eyed to the familiar words. And it’s a big hit at baby showers!”

Cassandra's review- The first thing that makes this book enjoyable is that it contours with a baby bump. The story is short, but very sweet and can be read over and over to your little one. The book would make a great gift.
